Electrical Testing & Fault Finding for Gas Engineers
Our NICEIC Certification approved course is specifically designed for Gas Engineers looking to develop their understanding of electrical safety, fault finding and electrical testing.
The training programme is specifically designed for engineers working on gas appliances and central heating control systems. It will provide them with the knowledge and skills to safely understand an electrical system and how to diagnose a potential problem. They will also learn how to use multi-meters for fault finding, how to safely test earth fault loop impedance, and how to interpret and action test results.
Learning modules include:
- Basic Knowledge & Understanding of electrical circuits and systems
- How Systems work e.g. S plan, Y plan & Combi boilers & wireless control systems etc….
- Health, Safety and Safe Isolation of equipment
- Fault Finding Controls and Component Exchange
Each module has been specifically designed for gas engineers in order to improve their knowledge base, develop new skills and be able to provide an additional service to their customers.
The duration of the course is three days, or six nights with our evening option.
The programme also includes a comprehensive NICEIC Training Manual & an NICEIC Certificate.
Course attendees must hold appropriate ACS gas certificates. As a minimum, learners must hold CCN1 and the appropriate appliance category certificates. Issued certificates are valid for 5 years.
